surprise, surprise

Looks like Ted Klaudt is the big winner of the hourly Republican-Hypocrite-Rapist award.

Klaudt, a former State Senator from South Dakota, is facing several charges including:

eight counts of rape, two counts of sexual exploitation of a minor, two counts of witness tampering, sexual contact with a person under 16, and stalking

A couple of seemingly unrelated facts spring to mind:

1) We've thrown out due process and rule of law in this country.

2) One can forecast with 90% certainty that any given Republican official or high-ranking party member has an illegal vice.

3) So-called "preventive" arrests, stopping the crime before it happens, is becoming a commonplace in American law-enforcement.

4) Judging solely by conviction rates, Republican leaders have done more damage to more children than the entire captive population at Guantanamo.

Taken together I think it is safe to say that rounding up and indefinitely detaining all Republicans of a station higher than rank-and-file party member would not only be "legal", but would also make a substantial contribution to public safety.

C'mon America, do it for the children.
