Citizen Flush
All quiet on the AmCop front, so I'll post a few things...
First off, I'm wondering what sort of precedent this has in American history, and why it wasn't tried earlier in the Bush era.
And perhaps it could be attempted even more effectively? Could one conceivably line up lawyers and judges to be ready to support a citizen's arrest in a state like California? Could activists potentially give Bush alums hell on the lecture circuit for the rest of their lives? Apparently some architects of the war have been cautioned not to go to Europe, where they could be arrested for war crimes. Could the citizen's arrest be similarly deployed here?
And yes, speakingcorpse, I have noted that they were Catholic activists...
